A Little Background
From a young age, Brad was captivated by the outdoors and photography. An avid backpacker, mountain biker, and rock climber, his passions led him to Colorado at the age of 17, where he worked as a ski industry photographer for Crested Butte, Copper Mountain, Breckenridge, and Telluride ski areas. He produced early video projects for Tracker Skis and the Crested Butte Nordic Ski School. Brad graduated summa cum laude from the University of Colorado Denver with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. He subsequently earned a Master of Fine Arts degree from Claremont Graduate University in Claremont, California.
With over 24 years of professional experience in photography and digital imaging, Brad established the Future Light Digital studio/classroom in 2003. His primary focus is on providing hands-on learning experiences, small group classes, and making digital photography accessible and engaging. Simultaneously, he has taught graphic design and digital photography at City College of San Francisco. Additionally, he has served as a guest lecturer and college instructor at various institutions across the West, including UCLA Extension, Los Angeles Mission College, and Mt San Antonio College. In his “train the trainers” series, he has imparted knowledge to college faculty, ensuring their knowledge of the latest advancements in their respective fields.
